| This beer is the only local beer of Samoa. Literally translated Vailima means: Water in the hand (from a local legend), but it is also the name of a small village in Samoa where famous writer, Robert Louis Stevenson spent his last years. Samoa Breweries also distributes the German beer, EKU. This is due to the fact that when the brewery opened in 1978, Haase Brauerei (Germany) together with the local government was the investor of the brewery. Thanks to Anthony Regan for this one. |
