| Hartwall started as a distributor of mineral water as early as 1836. In 1966 the company finally began to brew, and their brand was called Karjala, which is still in production. The Lapin Kulta though is today their top brand on the international market. This beer can be bought in the neighbouring countries, and also in Denmark and Germany. The brewery has a distribution of international beers on the local market too. Newcastle Brown Ale, Fosters, Kronenbourg, and Krusovice are some of the brands to be found in the supermarkets of Finland. |
