| In 1928, a local bank took over the operations of
one of its clients, who was granted a temporary exclusive licence to
manufacture beer. The company became known as The Malta Export Brewery
and the first lager, ‘Cisk Pilsner’ was launched in 1928. The Malta
Export Brewery merged with Simonds Farsons Limited in 1948, and
therefore it became Simonds Farsons Cisk Limited. Cisk Lager is still
the flagship of the company, but other brands have been produced over
the years to make the range more exciting. |
